Walter Wayne Dorris, 88, of Clay passed away Tuesday, July, 23, 2019 at his residence.

Walter was born in Providence to the late Walter V. Dorris and Irene Dorris on November 11, 1930.

Walter was in the Army and he is preceded in death by his wife Mary Ann Dorris in 2017.

Survivors include 2 daughters Deborah Dorris of Clay and Cindy Romerhausen of Maryville, TN 5 sisters Christine Brown (Harold) of Dixon, Dolores Overby (Jim) and Dorothy Campbell, Katherine Summers all of Providence Barbara Brown of Diamond and 1 brother Don Dorris (Brenda) St. Augustine, FL 5 grandchildren Kyle Lea, Keith Lea, Kent Lea, Allison Fox and Bryce Romerhausen 5 great-grandchildren Caden Lea, Liam Lea, Anwyn Lea, Bowen Lea and Deacon Fox.

Funeral services will be Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Vanover Funeral Home in Clay.  Visitation will be 11:00 AM till service time. There will be no burial. Cremation to follow service.
