Walter Bruce Hill, 86 of Clay passed away Monday, October 30, 2023 at Hillside Nursing and Rehab in Madisonville.

Walter was born in Sullivan on July 26, 1937 to the late Curtis and Willow Mae Hill, he was in the United States Air Force where he did 3 tours in Vietnam, he was a Vietnam Veteran and retired after 22 years of being in the Air Force.

He then was employed at McDonald Douglas/Boeing and retired after 20 years.  He was a member of Clay Jachin Lodge #739 and a member of Clay First Baptist Church in Clay.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by a brother Roy Hill in 2021.

Survivors include his wife Shelia of 68 years, 1 brother Curtis Hill (Frankie) of Tampa, FL, 2 nieces Pam Ford and Robin Patton, nephew David Hill, cousins Linda Vice, Bryan Vice (Melinda), Gavin and Addison.

Funeral services will be Saturday, November 4, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Vanover Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff McMain and Bro. Corey Rash officiating.  Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Clay.  Visitation will be Saturday 10:00 AM till service time at the funeral home.
