Everett Rich Obituary

  Everett “Slugo” Rich, 85, of Providence, KY passed away Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN.

Everett was born on June 4, 1933 in Providence to the late Ben and Eulabella Rich.  He was in the United States Navy.  He was a police officer for the Providence Police Department for 18 years.  He was a member of the Providence Masonic Lodge #148 and Eastern Star #304 and also was an honorary member of the VFW Post #5484 in Providence.

He is preceded in death by 2 grandchildren Eric Martin and Brandi Rich Rushing.

Survivors include his wife Doris of Providence a daughter Karen Newberry of Providence, 2 sons Keith Rich (Diane) of Clay and Karl Rich (Nathaly) of Loxahatchee, FL 1 brother Larry Rich of Phoenix, AZ 6 grandchildren Melody, Gina, A.J., Katiushka, Stephanie and Kelley and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Sunday, May 5, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Vanover Funeral Home in Clay with Bro. Ralph Alexander officiating.  Burial will be in White Oak Cemetery in Clay with Military honors at the gravesite.  Visitation will be Saturday 4:00 PM till 7:00 PM. Masonic Rites to be conducted at 6:00 PM. Sunday visitation 10:00 AM til service time at the funeral home.
