Forrest Conrad Obituary

Forrest “Red” Conrad, 86, of Providence passed away Sunday, June 9, 2019 at his residence.

Forrest was born in Lisman to the late Eubert and Jimmie Kyle Conrad on May 24, 1933.

He was in the United States Army and was in the Korean War.

He was a member for over 50 years of the Jack McDowell VFW Post 5484 in Providence and  he was also a Kentucky Colonel. 

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by an infant son Forrest Allen Conrad, Jr.

and his wife Norma in 2015.

Survivors include 1 daughter Angie Wooton (Danny) of Evansville and 1 son David Conrad (Debbie) of Norris City, IL 3 grandchildren Amanda Rister, Kyle Wooton and Kassie Harrold  7 great-grandchildren Jonica, Cypress, Townes and Veronica Wooton and Nash, Emerson and Dalton Harrold.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Vanover Funeral Home in Clay with Bro. Barry Cullen officiating.  Burial will be in Big Hill Cemetery in Providence with Military Honors at the gravesite.  Visitation will be Tuesday, June 11, 2019 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home and 9:00 AM til service time on Wednesday.

Memorial contributions can be made to Christmas for Kids, c/o VFW Post 5484, 2321 VFW Lane, Providence, KY 42450.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
