Franklin “Big Boy” Foster, 73 of Wheatcroft passed away Thursday, February 13, 2020 at his home.
Frankie was born in Bordley on January 2, 1947 to the late Veston and Holland Foster.
He was in the United States ARMY and was in the Big Red One Infantry Division. He was in the Vietnam War and received a Purple Heart. Frankie retired from Webster County Coal Co. after 31 ½ years. Frankie was pastor for 19 years at Church of God of Prophecy in Wheatcroft. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Clay.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by a sister Brenda Foster.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years Margaret Foster of Wheatcroft 2 sons Stacey Foster (Monica) of Sturgis and Todd Foster (Hope) of Madisonville 5 sisters Virginia Earl (Tom) of Troy, OH, Mary Lou Bell (Kenny) and P.K. Blake (Dean) both of Albion, IL, Vada Bebout and Juanita Foster both of Mt. Vernon, IN 3 brothers Ricky Foster (Gala) of Hollis, OK Larry Foster and Johnny Foster both of Mt. Vernon, IN 7 grandchildren Dayra Waller (Benson), Daymond Foster (Kate), Angel Foster, Jade Foster, Ramzee Foster, Bentley Foster and Drake Walker 3 great-grandchildren Lailly Stevens, Briggs Waller, Blu Waller and Baby Foster is on the way. Several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Sunday, February 16, 2020 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church in Clay with Bro. James Taylor, Bro. Bobby Pierson and Bro. Stacey Foster officiating. Burial will be at Oddfellows Cemetery in Clay with Military Rites at the graveside. Visitation will be Saturday, February 15, 2020 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and 9:00 AM til 12:00 PM at Vanover Funeral Home on Sunday and 1:00 PM til service time at First Baptist Church.
