Obituary

Richard Allen Vaughn, 76 of Dixon passed away Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Deaconess Midtown in Evansville.

Richard was in born in Clay on November 16, 1946.  He was in the United States Navy and a Vietnam Veteran. In the Navy he was an electrician and worked on aircraft.  He retired from Alcoa, he was past president of Clay Rod and Gun Club, a member of the American Legion Post 289 in Clay, Ky.

He is preceded in death by his parents Tom Vaughn and Lou Edith Cowan, and a brother Harry Vaughn

Survivors include his wife of 53 years Carolyn, a daughter Kelli Stone of Poole, 1 brother Tommy Vaughn of Providence, 3 grandchildren Logan Stone, Karlie Stone and Connor Stone, nieces and nephew.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at 2:30 PM at Vanover Funeral Home in Clay with Bro. Corey Rash officiating.  Burial to follow in Rocksprings Cemetery with military rites at the gravesite.  Visitation will be Tuesday 10:30 AM til service time at the funeral home.
