Samuel “Sam” Pritchett, 72 of Clay passed away Friday, November 4, 2022 at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville.
Sam was born on October 11, 1950 in Henderson to John Al and Melba Pritchett.
He was a cattle farmer along with his brothers at Pritchett Brothers Farms.
He graduated from Henderson County High School in 1968 and from Western Kentucky University in 1972 with an agricultural degree.
He was a member of First Baptist Church in Clay but attended Hurricane Church in Tolu.
He is preceded in death his father John Al Pritchett.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years Pam, 3 daughters Erin Blackburn (Vinson) of Clay, Leslee Parish (Opie) of Nebo, Keri Shouse (Chad) of Clay, his mother Melba Pritchett of Morganfield, a sister Gaye Powell (Ronald) of Little Dixie, 3 brothers Glenn Pritchett, Al Pritchett (Vickie), Darwin “Doe” Pritchett (Lisa) all of Clay, 6 grandchildren Jaylin and Seth Blackburn, Isaac and Kaytee Parish, Karsen and Kyndal Shouse, 1 great-granddaughter Maggie Dayle Hendrickson, numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church in Clay with Bro. Danny Hinchee and Bro. Jeff McMain officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery with Bro. Corey Rash officiating the committal service. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 8, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the First Baptist Church and 8:00 AM till service time on Wednesday at the church.
