William "Bill" Haner

William “Bill” Haner, 87 of Evansville, IN formerly of Clay passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at Deaconess Henderson Hospital in Henderson. 

Bill was born in Clay on March 30, 1936 to the late Herman and Vera Haner.

He was a minister for 46 years and was a member of Union Temple General Baptist Church in St. Charles where he was the Associate Pastor.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Virginia in 2011.

Survivors include 2 daughters Jennifer Mitchell (Scott) of Dawson Springs, Libresqua Haner of Evansville, 1 son David Beckner of Murray, 4 grandchildren Vance Chapple, Colton Chapple, Ashton McManus, Alex Mitchell, 4 great-grandchildren Leighton Chapple, Livingston Chapple, Emerlynne McManus, Brinleigh McManus.

Funeral services will be Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Vanover Funeral Home in Clay with Bro. David Hoard officiating.  Burial to follow in Oddfellows Cemetery in Clay.  Visitation will be Friday, May 5, 2023 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and 10:00 AM till service time at the funeral home.
